Greetings: Thank you for visiting our web site. My name is Tim Locker. I have been co-owner of several racehorses, including fillies and geldings, during my involvement in horse racing. I would like to share my experience with you, so that you may see how I approach thoroughbred horse racing.

I know what it is like to watch a thoroughbred horse race, and hear the owners cheer on “their” horse(s). I know what it is like to see the winning horse escorted into the Winner’s Circle, accompanied by the owners, and watch the owners grin ear-to-ear as they are having their picture taken in the Winner’s Circle.

One day we looked in the Turfway Park racing program and saw where “racing partnerships” were forming with a trainer at Turfway Park. At first we were skeptical and did not quite understand everything that was involved with being an owner in a partnership. We researched it, and contacted the trainer, and one thing lead to another and we joined our first partnership. The fun was just beginning. After our first race experience, we wondered why we didn't get involved sooner. The exhileration and excitement involved with being an owner can only be realized by joining a partnership and experiencing it for yourself. Standing next to the finish line and watching your horse cross the line first, is second to none.

It is very similar to when someone invests money in a mutual fund or in stocks. They do not personally know the people who are managing their 401K plans or IRA’s. It all comes down to “trust”. The shareholders trust that the people who are managing their investments are doing so in the shareholder’s best interest. That's our philosophy at Locker Racing Stables. We want our owners to feel comfortable with their decision to enter one of our partnerships. We encourage new and experienced prospective owners to contact us anytime with any questions they may have. At Locker Racing Stables, we are open and honest with all our owners. Not only am I the trainer, but I am also an owner in each partnership. I want our owners/partners to realize that we have the same investment risk in the partnership(s) as they do. We are in this business to make money from our quality and well trained horses. This is exactly what we want for our owners/ partners.

When a person enters into one (1) of our partnerships, they can purchase shares from 10% on up. This requires a smaller investment, which puts their investment at a lower risk, plus if an owner wants to purchase a 10% share in two (2) different horses, which is very common, this is a way of diversifying their money that they invested in the partnership(s).
